Breaking Points
Gee whiz how time flies. Already in April of this, the Year of Our Horde 2024, and you know what? I’ve got a lot to show for it. There’s a perspective shift I’ve been fantasizing over increasingly consciously for, say, the past 4 years, but late last year and then all of this year put me in the driver’s seat of it far more than I had been (even though that was still a considerable amount).
I don’t mean this to sound harsh, though I think it easily comes off as such, but in one sense or another life’s a series of breaking points, where you reach a threshold of tolerance for whatever it is you’re involved in and say, “I’m out.” Obviously, you keep the things or pursuits or relationships that don’t exceed that threshold, but it’s over the years you learn that it’s quite difficult to predict what will go, and when, such that it’s all subject to suspicion.
Of course, that’s not a call to arms for paranoia, far from it, but it is to point out the… what, fragility?… of, well, life, I guess, and the ability to identify things that just aren’t doing it for you anymore and fostering the ability to extricate yourself from them. Too short are our days to persist in mediocrity or, worse, boredom. Know thyself, and gather unto it all that it desires.
And that, folx, is what I like to think the last month showcases. How about you?
Spin Values
And that’s it, that’s the evidence that the Earth keeps on spinning whether you like it or not, but if you give it a bit of effort, you can make it spin in your favor. And if you give it a lot of effort, you can just make a new one for you and yours.
